PEC 6” Electronic Caliper

PEC 6” Electronic Caliper

PEC manufactures top-of-the-line calipers that help you transfer precise measurements for tight-fitting, accurate joints. These calipers have inside jaws, outside jaws, and a depth gauge. Readouts can be displayed to .0005”, .01mm, or 1/64th fractions. The calipers are made of stainless steel and feature a locking nut to set your measurements. Each caliper comes with a spare battery and a fitted case.

Jonathan’s Hot Take:

Next to the square, calipers are probably my most used measuring tool. They are your best friend for transferring measurements. Take the width of a tenon, and transfer it to a second board to cut your mortise. And that’s just getting started. Check out this video for all the ways I use my calipers.

The stated tolerance on these are better or equal to the higher priced calipers from Starret or Mitutoyo and accurate from 0-4” at .02mm/.001”and accurate to .03mm/.0015” up to 12” (yes we also have 12” PEC calipers too!). These really are a screaming deal and a must have for the serious woodworker.

Oh, and here’s a tip—if the screen starts flashing, it’s time for a battery change. It should last you a long time, but PEC has you covered with an extra battery so you’re not left stranded.
